Notification No.16/2002-Customs (N.T.)


In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and in supersession of notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No.29/97-Customs (N.T.), dated the 7th July, 1997, the Central Government appoints the officers mentioned in column (2) of the Table below to be Commissioner of Customs (Appeals), and such officers shall have the jurisdiction in relation to an order or decision of the officer subordinate to the officer as mentioned in the column (3) of the said Table with effect from the date to be notified by the Central Government in the Official Gazette.

Notification No.79 /2007-Customs (N.T.)

G.S.R.(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue No.14/2002-Customs (N.T.), dated the 7th March, 2002, namely :-

In the Table of the said notification,-

(a) for Sl. No. 13 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

(1) (2) (3)
“13 Chief Commissioner of Central Excise, Pune a) Commissioners of Central Excise, Pune-I, Pune-II, Pune-III and Goa, b) Commissioners of Customs, Pune.”


b) for Sl. No. 26 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“26 Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai – II a) Commissioners of Customs, (Import) Nhava Sheva, b) Commissioners of Customs,(Export) Nhava Sheva.”

(c) for Sl. No. 33 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“33 Chief Commissioner of Customs,
Mumbai-III
a) Commissioners of Customs, (Airport) Mumbai,
b) Commissioners of Customs, (Preventive) Mumbai,
